Message From Our President

Dear Friends,

Welcome to The Arc of Palm Beach County. Since 1958 The Arc has been a leader in advocating and serving people with disabilities and their families. We are proud of our continuum of care that recognizes the importance of helping people to reach their potential and meet the diverse needs of people with varying disabilities in our community. The success of our programs represents The Arc's commitment to focusing on the individual developmental needs of our consumers, inclusion in our community and family support. Nationally recognized programs such as Potentials Charter Schools and Employment Services demonstrate the use of best practices and model programs to ensure our consumers have access to services meeting the highest quality standards.

We want to acknowledge and thank our community partners and stakeholders for their support. It is through the commitment of our benefactors, community funders, policy makers, staff and advocates that we are able to have an impact on the lives of over 1,700 people living with or caring for a family member with a disability.

While our successes have been great, our challenges continue. The need for our services seems never ending. Whether it is a family with a newborn child grappling with the reality of how to manage a child with a disability or an aging parent looking for services for their adult child without any funding to support these services, everyday our staff remains committed to respond to the needs of our consumers. We need your voices and support to enable us to continue being the leader in creating possibilities and turning them into reality for people with disabilities.
