The Arc of Palm Beach County welcomes Amy Etkie, recently appointed as a speech pathologist for Potentials School. She holds her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in speech pathology and did her graduate work at Florida Atlantic University. She has worked in private practice, for a preschool, an elementary school, and in an in-patient pediatric acute hospital before coming to The Arc. Amy is proficient in ASL (American Sign Language) which she learned to be able to communicate with her father in-law who is hearing-impaired. She has been working at Potentials during the summer and reports that “I absolutely love helping children communicate and watching them become more independent as a result. Thank you for the opportunity to work with your kids over this next school year.” |
