Potentials
School was established in 1998 by The Arc of Palm Beach County Florida.
It was Palm Beach County's first public charter school. The mission
of Potentials School is to meet the specific and intense needs of
it's students by laying down the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
The student population consists of children who are unable to walk
or talk and are between the ages of 3 and 10 years of age. Once students
no longer meet eligibility criteria, they are transitioned into their
neighborhood schools and included in regular elementary or middle
school classes. You may request tours and/or applications for enrollment
by contacting Diane Donahue. Enrollment of eligible students is first
come, first served. Applications should be submitted by child's first
birthday and are accepted throughout the year. The specialized team
includes:
- Special Educator
- Speech Pathologist
- Occupational Therapist
- Physical Therapist
- Registered Nurse
- Vision Teacher
- Inclusion Specialist

Potentials School in South Palm Beach County
Since the opening of Potentials School in Riviera Beach,
The Arc has looked for an opportunity to build a similar school
in the south part of Palm Beach County to provide more choices
for the residents living in Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and
Boca Raton. In 1999, two foundations volunteered to fund new
construction in the City of Boca Raton. We are pleased to announce that Potentials South is now up and running and teaches 15 students.
