We all look forward to spending our free time engaged in enjoyable activities. The Arc's Recreation Department offers a wide variety of leisure activities for children, teens and adults with special needs. All of the programs offer age-appropriate activities and instruction, which include drama and music, a variety of sports, field trips and other engaging activities.

DAY CAMPS, AGES 6-17

This program provides great social opportunities and a wide variety of activities, community outings, learning activities, sports and instructional classes. Youth must be completely potty trained and independent in the restroom and be able to dress and eat independently, as well as transition with the group. Campers must be able to safely and actively participate with a ratio of 1:3 at all times.

Inclusion options are also available, and if selected, youth must have the ability to participate in this less restrictive environment.

TEEN SUMMER DAY CAMP

This program provides great social opportunities for teens aged 14 and older through themed activities, sports, community outings, learning activities and instructional classes. Teens must be independent in the restroom, and have the ability to dress and eat independently as well as transition with the group. Campers must be able to safely and actively participate with a ratio of 1:6 at all times.

ADULT EVENING PROGRAM

TGIF is The Arc's evening social club for adults aged 18 and older who can join us on scheduled Friday evenings and some Saturdays. This program offers a wide variety of fun, themed activities and community outings. Participants must be completely independent in the restroom and able to eat independently, transition with the group and safely and actively participate with a 1:15 at all times.

ADULT LEISURE DAY PROGRAM

This program offers social opportunities twice per week from October through May. Activities include sports, crafts, food preparation and light cooking, learning activities and community outings. It is open to adults aged 21 and over who are completely independent in the restroom, able to eat independently, transition with the group and safely and actively participate with a 1:10 ratio at all times.

ADULT COMMUNITY DAY ACTIVITIES

This active social program offers occasional themed activities, such as specialty crafts and learning activities. It is open to adults aged 21 and older who are completely independent in the restroom, and able to eat independently, transition with the group and safely and actively participate with a 1:10 ratio at all times.
