Acceptance is a universal desire. We long for our authentic self to be seen, heard, and accepted. Finding acceptance and inclusion for people with disabilities has been the goal of The Arc of Palm Beach County for 60 years. The nonprofit wants to extend that message beyond its clients to encourage a community conversation about acceptance.

The Acceptance Campaign will launch on social media with challenges XX. The Arc is also selling T-shirts and jewelry featuring the word “acceptance” seeks to inspire everyone to express empathy and support inclusivity.

“Our clients want and deserve to feel like they fit in – at the lunch table, in conversations, and in the workforce. Creating those opportunities for them, requires acceptance,” said Kimberly McCarten, president and CEO of The Arc of Palm Beach County. “The idea for this campaign grew from there, because everyone, no matter their challenges, wants to feel accepted.”

Join The Arc of Palm Beach County to encourage acceptance of ourselves, of others, of differences. Together we can change the conversation, maybe even the world!
