The Cowboy Ball, benefiting The Arc of Palm Beach County, will honor an exemplary individual with the inaugural Courim Award, an exciting addition to the gala, which will be held for the first time at The Mar-A-Lago Club.

The news was part of The Cowboy Ball Kick-Off, held Dec. 9, 2015, in Palm Beach. Chairs Peter Robbins and Emily Pantelides led the event, where committee members were encouraged to suggest award nominees. The committee also planned for the next pre-event gala celebration, which will be graciously hosted by Jay and Diahann Cochran of Palm Beach at 7 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016.

“We are kicking the event up a notch with our venue of The Mar-A-Lago Club and celebrating the glamour of boots and ball gowns,” Pantelides said. “Our gown sponsor, La Casa Hermosa of Wellington, brought a gorgeous selection of gowns to the Kick-Off, and we received special permission for our guests to wear jeans to the gala.”

The Cowboy Ball will be held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2016, at The Mar-A-Lago Club, 1100 S Ocean Blvd., Palm Beach, FL 33480.

A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the inaugural Courim Award, the highest tribute given by The Arc, awarded to those who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to promoting excellence in their personal lives and throughout the community. The award winner will be announced at the event.

The Cowboy Ball will also feature a luxury silent auction, a gourmet meal in a gilded ballroom, an exciting live auction, exhilarating casino action and mesmerizing entertainment. A few of the outstanding auction items that will be featured at The Cowboy Ball include:
